Bob was born in Bay City, Michigan on April 16,1948. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School with the class of 1966. Shortly after high school Bob attended Ferris State University where he earned his associate degree in drafting and design technology. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1971. Immediately following his discharge from the Army, Bob married Sue Rutt on August 26, 1971, in Colorado Springs, CO. Soon after the wedding, the couple moved back to Michigan and started a family, having two wonderful children, Holly and David that Bob adored with all his heart. He worked as a mechanical designer at Dow Chemical for many years and then Chrysler/PPG Industries until retirement. Bob loved the outdoors, and he was an avid bow and rifle hunter; he spent a lot of time up north hunting with friends and out west hunting and hiking with his cousins and his son David. He also enjoyed boating, camping and fishing. Bob will always be remembered for his kindness, volunteering to help friends and family with anything they needed day or night. He also had a very creative mind and invented several items with his drafting skills, all related to hunting, of course. He could weld, build and fix anything broken. Bob loved the lord with all his heart and was a member of Resurrection Life church in St. Louis, MI where he volunteered on the security team. He was also a member of the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Post #110 and the NRA. Bob couldn’t be more patriotic and proud of the country he served.
Bob is survived by his wife Sue Moeller of Mt. Pleasant; daughter Holly (John) Blizzard of Grand Rapids; son David (Charlene) Moeller of Sheridan, WY; grandsons Collin Blizzard, Jayden Blizzard, Kaden (Jadyn) Moeller, Cody Moeller; sister Barbara (William) Fielding of Houghton Lake; sister-in-law Carolyn Whitcher of Marion, IA; brothers-in-law Richard Rutt and Robert Rutt, both of Palm Springs, CA; nephews Jeffrey (Kimberly) Fielding, Michael (Tammi) Fielding; nieces Kristina (John) Barefield, Kendra (Warren) Skinner, Megan (Jerry) Broughton, and Sheri Whitcher.
