Robert William Dawson, Sr., 64, of Jones Creek, Texas passed away on August 2, 2024. Robert was born on May 25, 1960, in Brunswick, Georgia to Robert Burl and Christine (Thomas) Dawson.

Bobby married Johnnie Sue Schneider on March 31, 1979 in Brunswick, Georgia. They were married and loved each other for 45 years.

He enjoyed talking about how good God is, spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, going to little league baseball games and the Houston Astros.

Those that preceded him in death include his father Robert Burl Dawson and his brother Emory Dawson.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Sue Dawson; children: Robert (Little Bobby) Dawson Jr., and Katrina Dawson; siblings: Judy Rice, Jerry Dawson, Shelia Grissom, Mike Dawson, Eddie Moody, Donnie Dawson, Marie Allen, Viann Brewer, Dotty Dement, and Florence Toole; his grandchildren: Robert (Trey) Dawson III, Cash Dawson, John (JT) Pedigo, Klayton Dawson, Olivia Perez, Brandon Green, Alyssa Green, Zakk Morgan, and Caden Morgan; and his great grandchildren: Robert (Drew) Dawson IV, Amaya Green, Blakely Payne, Emily Green, and Brandon Green Jr., Hudson and Hunter Green, along with numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Homes. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Palms Funeral Home with Pastor B.L. George officiating. Interment will follow at Gulf Prairie Cemetery.
