Elaine S. (Breedon) Solitro, 86, of North Providence passed away peacefully Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Cedar Crest Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of 49 years to the late Frank Solitro.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late George and Hazel (Willard) Breedon.

Elaine was a graduate of Central High School. She was a devoted wife working alongside her husband helping to run the family business M. Solitro & Son bakery for many years, and later as a crossing guard for the town of North Providence for 25 years. Elaine loved to cook and became quite adept at making Italian food for her family. Her great joys were taking care of her grandchildren, attending their many activities, and playing cards with friends at the Salvatore Mancini Senior Center. Elaine was a melanoma survivor.

Elaine is survived by her son Frank M. Solitro of Tucson, AZ her daughter Leslie A. Lefebvre and her husband Steven of Lincoln. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ariana Lefebvre and her fiance Daniel Sugrue, Steven Lefebvre and his wife Elizabeth, Gabriella Lefebvre and Johnny Solitro. She was the recent great grandmother of Sadie Jane Lefebvre. She is also survived by her loving sisters Denise Pelopida, Dawn Diodati and husband Ron, and sister-in-law Lyn Breedon. Elaine was predeceased by her brother, the late George Breedon.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, August 8, at 11:00 am in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will be private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Elaine’s memory may be made to, The St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
