Lynn Elizabeth Miller, 77, of Bargaintown New Jersey, passed away on August 4, 2024. She was born and raised in Pleasantville, New Jersey. She went to Pleasantville High School and graduated in 1965. She was the daughter of Walter and Dorothy Lafferty. After high school Lynn went to Glassboro College where she majored in Elementary Education. After graduating from college, she taught elementary school at the old Bargaintown School House. On August 4, 1979, she married Wayne Lawrence Miller at a quaint wedding in Historic Smithville. They bought a beautiful home on Bargaintown Lake, just down the street from the school where she taught, where they lived for 44 years. They loved to travel to Florida, Bermuda and they had a cabin in New Hampshire in the White Mountains. They also had a boat that they enjoyed for many years. They owned several businesses. One was a mail order kite business. The other was a Christmas Store in the mid- eighties called Jingle Bells. Their Christmas store was in Ocean City. Lynn and Wayne both loved antique cars and she owned an antique red 1950ish MG convertible that she adored. They kept it for many years and enjoyed taking it to car shows. Lynn was also a basset dog lover. She has owned many bassets through the years. She would dress them up and take them to the Ocean City Doo Dah Parades for bassets. Wayne and Lynn eventually bought a show dog that they named Elizabeth. They entered her in the 2019 televised National Dog Show. Their dog won first place in the basset division. They enjoyed going to dog shows and Elizabeth won many ribbons during her time as a show dog. Wayne preceded Lynn in death on Feb 7, 2021. Lynn was fortunate to have many of her high school friends to provide comfort and companionship during her remaining years. She leaves behind her stepdaughters, Wendy Kelly of Las Vegas, Nevada and Lisa (Mark) Gustray of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Grandchildren Heather (Ryan) Mahoney, Courtney Richardson, Lindsey (Derek) Jappe, Carly Richardson, Jordan (Madison) Richardson, and Holly Richardson. Great-grandchildren Madison and Ryleigh Dimick, Carson and Jalen Jappe, and Graham and Harper Mahoney. She also leaves behind her loyal high school best friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Dorothy Lafferty, grandson Brandon Dimick, and son-in-law Christopher Kelly.

A service will be held on Saturday, August 1Oat 11:00-12:00 am at Our Lady of sorrows Church, located at 724 Maple Ave, Linwood, NJ 08221. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery located at 651 Zion Rd, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234. Funeral arrangements have been made through Adams Perfect Funeral Home.
