Paige Pope (Sabljak)

Heaven needed an energetic, strong and driven woman and Paige answered the call, passing away on July 28th at the age of 17.

Paige was surrounded by love throughout her life and was always eager to return it too: family; many, many friends (who often stopped by at dinner time, conveniently for them); cats; dogs; tortoises; snakes; bunnies; even a baby deer for a bit.

We call her relatives, friends and supporters “Team Paige.”

Team Paige includes parents Maggie Sabljak and Andy Pope, siblings Josh, Jayson, Gypsy, Paiten and Skylar, grandparents Mark & Joan Sabljak, Great Grandma “GG,” and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Paige was guided by St Paul’s Lutheran School in Franklin and Whitnall and Pius XI Catholic high schools, and Children’s Wisconsin's great mental health team, including the Craig Yabuki Mental Health Walk-In Clinic. With help from Team Paige, she would have graduated a semester early this coming December and looked forward to a career in tattoo and hair fashion.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, Aug. 8th from 2:00PM until 6:00PM with a Memorial Service at 5:00PM at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 15250 West National Ave, New Berlin, followed by a ‘teen meal’ and gathering at Greenfield Park Picnic Area #1 (accessible via 116th street just north of Lincoln Ave).
