Jerry Wayne Gowan, age 80, of Belfast, Tennessee, died Sunday, August 4, 2024, at his residence.
He was born March 29, 1944, in Giles County to the late Carl and Elease Pierce Gowan. He was self employed as a carpenter and built many items for his family and friends that they will treasure. He enjoyed the outdoors and rabbit hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Michael Keith Gowan and Vicky Gowan; stepson, Chris Rowe; two siblings, Bobby Gowan and Barbara Shaw.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Dean Gowan; daughter Rhonda Gowan of Lewisburg; one stepson Jeffrey (Shannon) Rowe of Lewisburg; sister Paulette (Tommy) Clark of Lewisburg; three granddaughters and six great granddaughters.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 11:00 am from the Chapel of London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee, with burial to follow in Short Cemetery.
