Patrick O. “Pat” Harris, age 74 of Decherd, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Pat was born on March 17, 1950, in Manchester, to the late George Warren and Maggie Lou (Hensley) Harris. He was a 1968 class graduate from Franklin County High School. Pat worked for Wilton Corporation in Winchester and retired from TE in Tullahoma after many years of service. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed going to Pete Mountain with his family. In his spare time, you could find him in his creative space woodworking or on the softball field playing a good game or coaching others. He attended Pelham Valley Church of God of Prophecy when he could. Pat will be remembered by his family as a man with a great sense of humor and always punctual, being late was never an option. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, William “Bill” Austin Harris. Pat is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years, Linda Harris; son, James (Penny) Harris; grandchildren, Josh, Danny, Derek, Brittany, Bentley, Jolie, Jessie, Samuel and Whitley; siblings, Dean (Rose) Harris, Wendell Harris, Judy LaFevers, AC (Bonnie Bridges) Harris, Clyde “Hunky” (Kathy) Harris, Mary (Ronald) Winton, Henrietta “Henri” (Jimmy) Sartain, Ed (Sherry) Harris, Ernest Harris, and Phyllis (Larry) Fraley; and several nieces and nephews. Vistiation will be on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 11:00am-4:00pm at Moore Cortner Funeral Home funeral service for will follow at 4:00pm with Bro. Glenn Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd with family and friends service all pallbearers.
