Mrs. Vanda Lou Hutchins, 89 of Wingo, KY, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, August 4, 2024. She was born on Monday, August 6, 1934, to the late Leon and Maydean Gossum of Wingo.
Vanda retired from BellSouth Telephone Company and was owner of Kids Kloset in Mayfield. She was a very active and a long-time member of Mt. Olive Methodist Church. She loved traveling and spending time with all her family and friends.
Vanda is survived by her husband of 70 years, Weldon Hutchins; one son, Rodney Hutchins (Amy) of Wingo; one daughter, Sheree Edwards (Michael) of Benton; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, Eppie McBee (Todd) and Ella of Paducah, Casey Hutchins (Jessica) and Bain of Fancy Farm, Lacie Parham (Jon Matt) and Will, Lily, and Dalton of Arlington, Lensey Mathis (Adam) and Lydia Medley and Rylan Medley of Benton, and Zachery Edwards (Adrienne) and Charlotte and Delilah of Glasgow.
In addition to her parents, Vanda was preceded in death by her two sisters, Barbara King and Hannah Gream.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with Rev. Don Stabley officiating. Burial to follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 10:00 AM until the service hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Casey Hutchins, Zachery Edwards, Todd McBee, Jon Matt Parham, Adam Mathis, Bain Hutchins, and Will Parham.
