Rhonda Shirneita Spires, age 60, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. She was born on Tuesday, October 29, 1963, in McRae, Georgia. She was a caretaker, dedicating her life to caring for others. She is preceded in death by her father, Harvey Lee Spires.

Rhonda was known for her love of cooking and gardening, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. She dearly loved Milan Church of God along with so many other churches where she formed many cherished relationships.

She is survived by a loving family; Son - Keith Curtis of Milan; Daughter - Kaylyn Curtis of Milan; Mother - Shirley Ussery of Milan; Siblings - Lee Spires, Genise Spires (Buddy Bass), Erik Spires, all of Milan and Erin Bryant (Paul) of Blackshear. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at Lowes Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Benny Moore will officiate, assisted by Rev. Roswell Chapman. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Sandgrove Cemetery.
