Linda Sue Guffee Mauldin, 89, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024 at Stanley Total Living Center. She was born August 14, 1934 in Gaston County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Paul and Vida Massey Guffee. She was preceded in death by her loving husband James Howard Mauldin, Jr. and brother Allen Guffee.

Linda was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ attending First Baptist Church of Belmont and later Catawba Heights Baptist Church.  She enjoyed cooking, collecting recipes, sewing and gardening.

Left to cherish her memories are her devoted children Jeffery Lynn Mauldin of Gastonia, Cheryl Dudley of Mt. Holly, Teresa Huffstickler of Belmont, Rev. David Mauldin of Stanley; sisters Becky Mauney and husband Bill of Gastonia, Beverly Lassiter of Holly Springs, NC; grandchildren Jeremy Mauldin, Justin Mauldin and his wife Catherine, Melisa Harrison, Nathan Dudley, Adam Huffstickler, Ashley Huffstickler, Joshua Mauldin; great grandchildren Somer Mauldin, Kaitlyn Mullis, Zander Mauldin, Jasper Mauldin, Haley Mauldin, Lex Harrison, Ava Huffstickler, Rachel Mauldin, Olivia Mauldin and Henry Mauldin; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12 until 12:45 pm, Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at McLean Funeral Directors, Belmont.  The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. David Stewart officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Gardens.
