Paul Trevis Tolley went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 1, 2024 after a long illness. He was the son of Francis Fredrick Tolley and Grace Hamlin Tolley of Woodfin, NC.
Left to cherish his memories are his devoted wife, Linda Burleson Tolley of almost 62 years. A son, Paul Trevis Tolley, Jr. of Alexander, NC. A daughter, Batina Tolley Smith (Stephen) and two grandchildren, Trenton Smith (Ellen) and Tristan Smith (Nicole) of Orange Park, FL; special Aunt Patsy Burleson of Caledonia, MI. He was a devoted husband, father and “Peeps” to his grandchildren.
He grew up in Woodfin, graduated from Erwin High School attended Riverside Baptist Church where his mother was a certified Sunday School Teacher. She instilled in him his love of Jesus and his early acceptance of the Lord. He was a lifelong member of Riverside Baptist Church where he grew up. He was a former Rest Home Administrator, VP of the Western District Long Term Care Facilities where he received many awards, and a member of the Master Barbers Association.
In honor of Paul, the family ask that everyone wear Clemson orange. Paul was a Clemson fan and would love for all to be in Clemson orange.
Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday August 7, 2024 in North Black Mountain Baptist Church in Barnardsville. Reverand Cliff Franks will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. The burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery on Martins Creek Road in Barnardsville, NC.
