BATTEN, Vera Emma (nee Massey): Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Monday, July 29th 2024 in her 96th year. Vera, beloved wife of the late Lionel Batten. Loving and devoted mother of Linda Batten, and Marlene Gibson and her husband Rob. Loving Grandmother of Grant (Andrea), and Larry. Cherished Great Grandmother of Avarie, Blake, Isaac, Lauren, and Natalie. Dear sister of Audrey Warner (Lynn, predeceased) and predeceased by her sisters Jean Jaynes (Bud, predeceased), Leona Elder (Lorne, predeceased), and her brothers Tom (Elsie, predeceased), and Carmen (Helen, predeceased). Daughter of the late Grant Massey and Muriel McCauley. A Funeral Service for Vera was held in the Chapel of Highland Park Funeral Centre on Friday, August 2nd.  Interment Lakefield Cemetery. In her memory, donations to Peterborough Regional Health Centre would be appreciated by her family.
