Doris “Dottie” Dennis, age 83, was born September 2, 1940, to Laura Dennis in New Orleans, LA. Dottie returned home to the Lord on Monday, July 29, 2024. She stood out as a devoted and kind mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin. Dottie touched the lives of many by being the life of the party and a headstrong woman. Her laugh and infectious energy will be missed by all. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her daughter, Karen Waldren (Steven); son, Joseph Jenkins III (Lesly); bonus daughter, Mary Albert; 5 grandchildren, Byron Everidge, Kimberly Smith (Aaron), Treniece Shorty (Desmond), Jonathan Burden Jr., and Aalaila Jenkins; devoted cousin, Dorothy Banks, 7 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Dennis and brother, Melvin Dennis. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, August 3, 2024, 10:00AM at Household of Faith, 2074 Paxton St. Harvey, LA.
