Our Cowboy Donald “Ivan” Hamilton passed away the morning of July 29, 2024.
He decided his battle was done and he took the trail to the sky. Ivan grew up on his
family’s ranch/farm 10 miles north of Nezperce, where he resided the majority of
his 69 years of life. His parents, Don and Maxine (deceased) and 4 siblings, Kay,
Sandy, Ron (deceased) Marcia.

The Cowboy way was Ivan’s only way of thinking. Breaking horses and riding
horses and chasing cows were his favorite things to do. Farming was also in his
DNA. Ivans dream wedding was to get married on horseback at the family ranch
and so he did, and from that marriage he had 1 son, Joshua Ivan Hamilton.

Ivan always enjoyed the cattle sales where he could talk cows and share in cowboy
stories.

In Ivans memory the family and friends will be having a celebration of life for
“Our Cowboy” in the fall round up season. He wished to be cremated and ashes
spread on his birthday. We will post the event when set.
