After an extensive battle with cancer, Cheryl Lynne Evans passed away peacefully on July 26, 2024 in Carthage, MO at the age of 75 with her loved ones by her side.
Cheryl was born on October 22, 1948 in Oahu, HI to Elmer and Barbara Moore. She married her soulmate Ernest Evans on March 25, 1982 and only had one daughter.
Cheryl was a driven professional all her life with a secret love for interior decorating and antiquing. So much when she moved to Carthage, MO so her husband could retire and they could live in the beautiful country, she found her dream job. Just Get Organized, owner & best friend to Cheryl, Suzanne Scherger. When diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in March of 2023, she remained dedicated in her work and in her will to fight her illness. She remained a brave, iron-
willed woman, even throughout her final months.
Preceding Cheryl in death is her father Elmer Moore and one sister, Diana Moore de Ortiz.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Ernie, daughter Tara DeSantis, mother Barbara Moore, brother Ernie Moore, sisters Carol Rogers, Terry Merricks, and Brenda Avila, Grandchildren Andrew Levin and Madelynn DeSantis and many other extended family members.
Cheryl requested to be cremated and her ashes will be transported to California and remain at her daughter’s home.
