Mary was one of thirteen children born to George and Paulina Hanofski. She was raised on the family farm in Grayson, Sask. until they relocated to Regina, Sask.
On October 19, 1963 Mary married the love of her life Albert Lang. Together they raised their daughter Denise. They made their life together on Albert’s father’s homestead. They had a mixed farm, grain and livestock. The family of three would butcher between 500 - 800 chickens each year. In 1983 they moved to Regina and in 2002 Albert and Mary moved to Melfort where they resided at the time of Mary’s passing on July 29, 2024. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, granny and friend.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Albert of nearly 61 years. Their only daughter Denise (George) Listwan; grandchildren Ashley and Justin, great grandson Austin.Her brothers Harold, Rudy and Eddy. Sisters-in-law Mary Hanofski, Dolly Hanofski, Anne Lang and Evelyn Donauer, brother-in-law Konrad Lang, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents George and Paulina (Exner) Hanofski. Siblings Ida, Bill, Rose, Theresa, John, Annie, Emma, George and her twin brother Joey, plus many brothers and sisters-in-law.
Our family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Steffen, Dr. Elemary and all of the staff at the Melfort Hospital for all the care and compassion shown to Mary and the rest of her family.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mary may be directed to the North Central Health District Foundation "Palliative Care Furnishings"
