CRUZ RADA JR.

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Cruz Rada Jr., 66, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Trinity Rock Island.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Templo Cristo La Roca, 3510 Park Avenue West, Muscatine, Iowa. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, 1814 Lucas Street, Muscatine, Iowa. Pallbearers will be Rudy Rada, Robert Rada Jr., Rudy ‘Lex’ Rada Jr., Diamante Rada, Rene Rada, and Carlos Rada. Cruz was born on October 30, 1957, in Arkansas, the son of Cruz and Victoria Soria Rada Sr. He married Margarita Ortiz on August 21, 1976, in Muscatine.

He worked for Lewis Rich, West Liberty Foods, and retired from Hon while being a pastor.

He loved playing baseball with his son and his favorite team was the Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed dressing nice, was a jokester, enjoyed making people laugh, had a kind heart, and was always helping others. He dedicated his life serving God and preaching the word to anyone he knew and met. Above all he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Cruz will be deeply missed by his wife, Margarita; two children, Claudia Rada and partner, Marvin Bryson, and Rudy Rada and wife, Gail; three grandchildren, Rudy Lexani Rada Jr., Elexi A’merie Rada, and Diamante Rose Rada; one great grandson, Saint Dior Rada; seven siblings, Teodoro ‘Lolo’, Lilia, Roberto and spouse, Sylvia, Gloria and spouse, Ramiro, Diana and spouse, Refugio ‘Pepe’, Guadalupe and spouse, Maria, and Anna and spouse, Raul; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Simon, Antonio, and Carlos.
