Glen E. McKinney, 74, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at 7:06 AM at Freeman Health System, after a short illness, in Joplin, Missouri.
Mr. McKinney was born on March 30, 1950, in Joplin, Missouri. He worked for Eagle Picher for several years before retiring in 2012. He was a member of Diamond Christian Church. He was an avid NASCAR and Kansas City Chiefs fan. He also loved the outdoors, as well as his garden and rose bushes, attending concerts and going to the local dirt track racing.
He married Pam Cole on July 15, 1977, in Joplin, Missouri and she survives.
Other survivors include; one son, Brian Cole of Joplin, Missouri; two daughters, Misty Schrader of Joplin, Missouri and Brandi (Craig) Thomas of Springfield, Missouri; one brother, Don McKinney of Joplin, Missouri; five grandchildren, Noah Chandler, Keegan Thomas, Jace Thomas, Brittany Sauceda, and Shelby McKinney; 6 Great-Grandchildren, Luke Sauceda, Carly Sauceda, Mateo Sauceda, Aiden Murray, Chase Murray, and Mischa Murray.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Wanetta Schaffer McKinney and one brother, Wayne McKinney.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday at the Diamond Christian Church in Diamond, Missouri with Pastor Virgil Eubanks officiating. The pallbearers will be; Craig Thomas, Noah Chandler, Brian Cole, Travis McKinney, Leslie Enlow, and Dennis Cole.
There will be a visitation from 6:00-7:00 PM on Thursday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel.
The burial will be at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri.
