“She fought a great fight, finished her course and kept the faith.” II Timothy 4:7-8
Although, death came at me like a quiet storm; I fought so hard to stay, because I never wanted to leave any of you in such a sudden way. Please understand that God only lends the world His children for a little while. When God sends His Angels to bring His children home; much sooner than planned, you must brave the grief that comes and try to understand. When God calls our loved ones home, He leaves a gift of memories in exchange. It’s hard to understand why people are taken from us so young, but today as a family, we find comfort in knowing that our beloved one was a special part Though her time with us was brief, it was filled with love, joy, and boundless energy.
On April 6, 1996, the beautiful, sweet, and loving Dezirreah Shamore Roberts made her grand entrance to the late Damaris Roberts and Tronza Duncan in Allendale, SC. She remained the same throughout her life’s journey. Dezirreah was the true definition of an all-around sweet and generous person. Dezi received her education in the Hampton District 2 school system. She was a
2014 graduate of Estill High School, graduating in the top ten percent of her class. While attending school, she played softball and volleyball. After graduation, she attended TCL where she received various certifications in the nursing field. She worked at Right at Home in Bluffton, SC and did traveling private patient care.
Dezirreah was a free spirited outgoing spontaneous person who loved her children, family, and friends very much. Dezi was an intelligent, bright, and caring person who lit up every room she walked into with her big, beautiful smile. On July 23, 2024, Dezi was called home to be with her loving mother, Damaris Roberts; grandfathers, Solomon Duncan and Mark McNeally; great-
grandmother, Gladys Roberts; and great-grandfather, Hardly McNeally.
Dezi will forever live on in our hearts through: her two children, Christoper “King” and Charity “Char Bear” Gardner of her home; father, Tronza Duncan of Estill, SC; brother, Datron Duncan of Estill, SC; sister, Jada Duncan of Allendale, SC; sister-in-love, Infinity Loadholt of Estill, SC; three nieces, Naomi, Ivorry, and Ky’Loni; grandmothers, Geneva Duncan of Estill, SC and Sally Roberts (Kenny) of Brooklyn, NY; great-grandmother, Herley McNeally of Brooklyn, NY; aunts, Lisa Simmons of Yemassee, SC, Janie, Justine, and Gladys Roberts all of Estill, SC, DeAishia Roberts (Cliqshay) of Hampton, SC, Dawn Wall of Columbia, SC, Soletta Taylor of Gifford, SC; uncles, Paul Duncan of Atlanta, GA, Michael Wall of North Carolina, Marvin Owens of Estill, SC, Kenneth Wall, Jr., and Frank Duncan both of New York; great-uncle, Charlie Roberts of Estill, SC; special aunts, Queenia Roberts and Marie Loadholt of Estill, SC; godmothers, Monesha Stokes and Charlene Singleton; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
