Frederick John Bradford, 86, of North Canton, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on July 25, 2024.
He was born on June 30, 1938 to the late James and Margaret Mary (Saylor) Bradford in Massillon, OH.
A graduate of Sacred Heart School, Coshocton, OH, he was a veteran of The United States Marine Corps. Fred was a self - employed Broker/Sales agent for multiple insurance and investment companies, as well as a salesman for The National Federation of Independent Business retiring in 2020. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish/ St. Mary's, 4th degree member of Knights of Columbus, board member of The Alliance Historical Society, Alliance Community Center, former president of Watson Elementary PTA. He was an Honorary Alumni of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity at the University of Akron. He served as a lector and Eucharistic minister for his former church in Alliance. Fred coached little league baseball for many years. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, dedicated to his church, family and country. Fred was an avid golfer, reader and a sports enthusiast.
Frederick is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Eloise (Kahoun) Bradford; children, Frederick James (Lynn) Bradford, Scott E. (Lorrie) Bradford, Anthony N. (Jennifer) Bradford, and Daniel T. (Korin) Bradford; special family member, Deanna Ruthe, grandchildren, Amy, Alyssa, Logan, Jared, Ashleigh, Madison, Makenzie, ZacharA, Kaitlyn, Jessica, Michael and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Emerson, Parker and Sullivan; siblings, James (Sandy) Bradford, Susan Meredith, Sara Long, and Joyce Corbett; along with numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Elizabeth Smeyres.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 2, 2024, from 6:00 pm - 8:00pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 3, 2024, 11:00 am at the Divine Mercy Parish St Mary's, Massillon, OH.
Inurnment in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery will be private and at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
