Marilyn B. Pollitt, 91, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1973, formerly of Mariemont, OH, died peacefully Friday, July 26, 2024 at Tabor Hills Healthcare Facility in Naperville. She was born November 6, 1932, in Circleville, OH. Loving wife of the late Robert A Pollitt whom she married June 28, 1958, beloved mother of Nancy (Andrew) Pierson of Naperville, the late Mark Pollitt of Dallas, TX, grandmother to Nathan Pierson and Rachel (Joshua) Green and their daughter, devoted daughter of the late Harold and Josephine Bowers, dear sister of G Robert (Barbara) Bowers of Columbus, OH, and fond aunt and cousin to many. Marilyn grew up in Ashville, OH. After graduating from Ashville High School Marilyn received a BA in education from Miami University in Oxford and a MA in education from Ohio University. Marilyn taught elementary school for a few years in Cincinnati, OH; however, she found her true calling as the manager of Vine and Branches Bookshop in Naperville where she worked for over 30 years. She was an active member of Calvary Church in Naperville. A Memorial visitation and service are planned for Monday, August 5, 2024 Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 516 S. Washington Street, Naperville, IL 60540. Visiting will begin at 2:00 PM and a service will follow at 3:00 PM. Marilyn will be laid to rest alongside her husband, son, and parents at Reber Hill Cemetery in Ohio
