Sunkist Dail, a sweet gray tabby girl belonging to Nicole and Chris Dail, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Friday, July 26, 2024. Nicole and Chris owned a sweet male cat who became a father to several kittens. One by one, each kitten found a new home after being adopted by a family. Then there was one last kitten left from the litter. Nicole and Chris decided that this last little kitten was already right where she belonged. No matter what kind of boxes were around, this little rambunctious kitten would only dart in and out of the bright orange Sunkist soda box time after time. Nicole and Chris decided to name this sweet little girl "Sunkist." Sunkist was Nicole’s shadow from that day forward. Working from home each day, Nicole was happy to have her little office assistant, Sunkist, by her side each day. Not only was Sunkist Nicole’s office assistant but she ultimately became Nicole’s official ESA (Emotional Support Animal) helping Nicole through some very difficult times. Sunkist was a "percher." She always wanted to be sitting right on top of the shoulder of whoever she was gracing with her presence. Sunkist had dog-fur siblings, and being raised around them made her feel like she was part of the pack. She had a dog-like personality and would join alongside the dogs when they were getting their treats and even try to steal some right out of the bag. Sunkist was so loving; she was a snuggler and loved being held and cuddled. Sunkist was Nicole’s girl; she followed Nicole everywhere, and she is absolutely heartbroken by the loss of her sweet girl.

In addition to Nicole and Chris, Sunkist will be lovingly remembered by her human sibling, Zoey, and by her dog siblings, Salem, Ace, and Rowena. Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever in Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana.
