Dianne Williams Obituary

Dianne Greene Williams, of Highland Park, IL., died peacefully at her home on July 28, 2024. She was born on Jan. 8, 1946, in Hannibal, MO., to Nathan Greene and Eva Parsons Greene. She married George F. Williams on April 26, 1978, in St. Louis, MO.


Dianne obtained a master's degree in nursing from St. Louis University and worked for many years as a pediatric neurosurgery clinical specialist at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis. She and her husband moved to Highland Park in 2012. Locally, Dianne had a wide circle of friends with whom she enjoyed knitting and participating in book clubs.


Dianne is survived by her husband George Williams of Highland Park; by daughter Rachel Williams Martinez, son-in-law Manuel Martinez, and granddaughter Josie Martinez, all of Highwood, IL.; and by granddaughter Georgia Martinez of Ann Arbor, Mich.


Dianne was cremated in accordance with her wishes. A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2024, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. - Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home - 1787 Deerfield Road, Highland Park, IL 60035.
