Earla Jayne Biekert Obituary

Earla Jayne Biekert, 81, of Vermilion, died Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Kingston of Vermilion after a brief illness.


She was born April 23, 1943 in North Royalton, OH and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 12 years moving from Brook Park.


Earla worked as a medical laboratory  technician for  various companies for over 50 years until her retirement in 2012.


Earla was known for being a funny person, always keeping busy, enjoying reading and her love for her Giant Schnoodle, Moxxie.


She is survived by her friend, Joan (Adam) West of Vermilion, and many other close friends.


She was preceded in death by her  parents, Earl and Elizabeth (nee Harkema) Biekert;  sister, Corinne Simon; and long time companion, David Vrancich.


Graveside services will be held at a later date at Brownhelm Cemetery.


The family suggests memorial contributions to Mercy New Life Hospice 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, OH 44053 or an animal shelter of donor's choice.
