Carol Ann Bishop, 73, of Belleville, went to be with her Lord and Savior, at 9:17 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2024, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Sept. 21, 1950, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Jay and Betty (Eward) Bishop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Stephen Bishop on Aug. 25, 2012.
Carol is survived by: granddaughter, Sierra Bishop, of Mifflintown; step-grandson, Christopher Walters and companion, Lindi, of Port Royal; great-grandson, Bryson Scott; step-brother, Jeff Bishop, of Burnham; and daughter-in-law, Maddy Bishop, of Mifflin.
She was a graduate of Chief Logan High School, Class of 1968, and she attended Harrisburg Area Community College.
Carol was a member of Burnham United Methodist Church and attended Paintersville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
She worked for various employers in secretarial and mid-managerial positions at New Holland in Belleville, Fisher-Sanyo, J-Wood, Aris, and Centre County Can Help. Carol was also a part-time waitress at Green Gables and the Lewistown Country Club.
Carol enjoyed volunteering at the Lumina Center in Lewistown, attending speaking events at local churches and youth rallies, and leading young ones to Jesus Christ. Her son, Christopher, was her greatest joy and blessing given to her by God. She lived to serve her Lord and Savior and always stood up for God’s principles. Carol was a strong, conservative Republican and pro-life advocate who worked tirelessly to restore God’s values to the nation and fought for God’s name to be kept in schools. She also supported local police, veterans and military organizations, but above all, put God first in her life. Carol is now united forever with her son in Heaven.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Birch Hill Cemetery, Eighth Avenue, Burnham, with Reverend John Walters officiating.
