Mariellyn Brice, age 88, of Woodstock, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 14, 1935 in Chicago, the daughter of James and Marie (Tobin) Murnane.

She married William Brice on June 27, 1959 at St. Jerome Church on the north side of Chicago.

Mariellyn had her Masters Degree in education. She enjoyed teaching elementary and high school throughout her life. She was very artistic, making baskets, wreaths and holiday crafts. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, traveling and the theater. Most of all she loved her family.

She is survived by her children, Thomas (Stephanie) Brice, Michael Brice, Dawn Andrews and Lauri (Tom Robien) Pembrook; grandchildren, Thomas, Steven, Jason, Danielle, Matthew (Kristin), Robert (Melisa), Eileen, Lindsey (Austin) Noble, and Elizabeth (Michael) Saleda; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother’s John (Margaret), Martin and James, and sister-in-law Mary (Jim) LeBlanc.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave Woodstock IL 60098. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 1. 2024 at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic Church 312 Lincoln Ave Woodstock IL 60098. Burial will be at Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery in Cary, IL.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church.
