Betty Ruth (Goins) Carder, 82 of Trenton, Ohio passed away July 26, 2024 after a short battle with ovarian cancer, which she waged with courage, grace and strength. Betty was a devout Christian who loved the Lord.

Betty was born on November 18, 1941 in Hazard, Kentucky to Paschal Goins and Flora (Maloney) Goins.

Betty graduated from God's Bible School, Cincinnati Ohio in 1960. "I love the lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications." Psalms 116:1

Betty was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a Sunday school teacher and enjoyed volunteering for vacation bible school.

Betty enjoyed decorating, drawing, singing and spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by her children, Jill (Jeffrey) Smith of Dublin, Ohio; Jana (Kevin) Vincent of Middletown, Ohio; Jodi (Dennis) Scott of Trenton, Ohio. Grandsons, James M. (Sarah) Pelfrey of Pickerington, Ohio; Benjamin C. Pelfrey of Dublin, Ohio; Vincent W. Scott of Trenton, Ohio. Granddaughter, Savannah R. (Michel) Lee-Crawford of Hebron, Kentucky. Great Granddaughter, Aberdeen Elspeth Ceartas Pelfrey of Pickerington, Ohio. Sister, Patsy (Goins) Tirey of Trenton, Ohio; and Gwen (Tirey) Jacob of Urbana, Ohio, a very special niece who Betty loved like a daughter.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Carder in 1999; her mother, Flora (Maloney) Goins in 2004; and her daughter, Julie (Carder) Taylor in 2014.

The family will hold a memorial service August 3, 2024 at Christ Church in New Miami, Ohio. Visitation 12 p.m.-2. p.m, Memorial Service immediately after at 2.00 p.m. with Pastor Earl Baker officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Hamilton North Inpatient Center, Hamilton!, Ohio, or to Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, Baton Rogue, Louisiana.
