Jean Ann Harrison Adams, 71, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to so many passed away on July 26, 2024, at her home in Stockport. Jean was born on February 1st, 1953, and was a 1971 graduate of Morgan High School. Jean spent countless years taking care of her family and others and retired after 20 years of service at Highland Oaks Medical Center.  As we reflect on Jean’s life, we know she will be remembered as a caring, generous, and loving person by her friends, family, and the countless lives she touched. She leaves behind an untouchable legacy of love, strength, compassion, and an amazing ability to always put others first. She made a positive impact on all the lives she touched and devoted so much of her life to caring for others and placing their needs ahead of her own. It was common knowledge that you didn’t have to be blood related to call her Mom or Aunt Jean because she was loved by so many and loved them in return.  Jean is survived by her husband of 52 years, JD Adams, four children, Jason, Joe (Mandi), Jenny (David) Adkins, and Jacki (Harry) Hernandez. Six grandchildren, Haley and Hope Ellis, Vanessa and Connor Adams, and Ana and Amelia Hernandez. Also surviving are brother Larry (Jill) Harrison, sister Judy Giffin, and sisters-in-law Dee Harrison and Sandy Groves.  Jean was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Kate Harrison and brother Randy Harrison, brother-in-law Dick Adams, sisters in law Phyllis Lauer, Bobbi Josselyn, and Carolyn Motz.  All are welcome to celebrate Jean’s life with the family at the Stockport Community Church CORE building on Sunday August 25th from 2-4PM. Pastor Galen Finley will provide remarks at 3:30PM.  In lieu of flowers please make donations in Jean’s name to Highland Oaks Health Center 4114 St Rt 376 McConnelsville, OH 43756 for the patient activity fund or the Stockport Volunteer Fire Department via check made out and mailed to Stockport VFD PO Box 347 Stockport, OH 43787 in Jean’s honor.   Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill is handling the arrangements.
