Mrs. Sybil June (McWhorter) Spears, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away, Sunday, July 28, 2024 at her residence in Clinton County, Kentucky, having attained the age of  84 years, 5 months, and 30 days. She was born in Albany, Kentucky on Monday, January, 29, 1940, the daughter of Ralph & Dorothy (Means) McWhorter. She was of the Baptist faith, a member of Clearfork Baptist Church, was an outstanding Music Teacher, Homemaker & Cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Ray Mullinix, & step-mother, Reba (Pittman) Shipley McWhorter.

        She is survived by her husband, Bro. Larry Spears, whom she wed Friday, June 30,1961, daughter, Tonya (& Tony) Wilson all of Albany, Kentucky, sister, Libby Mullinix of Burkesville, Kentucky, grandsons, Duncan Boyd & Connor Wilson.

        The funeral service was conducted on Friday, August  2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Sawyer & Bro. David Stearns officiating. Burial was in the  McWhorter-Hillcrest Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket bearers were Tony Wilson, Duncan Boyd, Conner Wilson, Roger Dyer, Kenneth Brown, and Chris Dobbs. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Hillcrest Cemetery, 91 Peolia Church Rd., Albany, Kentucky, 42602.
