Patricia Ann Darlene Varnold, 90 of Moberly, MO entered Heaven on July 28, 2024 at her home in Meadow Ridge Assisted Living surrounded by her family.

She was born January 14, 1934 to Ernest and Rhea Stevenson Humes of Wyaconda, MO.

On March 15, 1955 she married Robert Lee Varnold of Keokuk, IA where they resided and raised a family.

Patricia worked at Sheller-Globe most of her working years and attended First Christian Church in Keokuk. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling as well as quilting, needlepoint and playing Bingo.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Lee Varnold Jr. (Robyn) of Anaheim, CA and Curtis Varnold (Carla) of Parker, CO, grandchildren, Nathan Varnold, Rebecca Varnold, Amy Idowu, Miriam Miller, Jonathan Varnold, Justin Curcio, Joshua Varnold, Nathan Varnold, Ashley Varnold, Sarah Varnold, Dakota Varnold, Amber Turpin, Lacy McCormick and twenty-three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Ernest “Doc” Humes, her sister, Dora Fogle, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob Varnold, one son, Darrell Gene Varnold and five siblings, Joseph “A.J.” Humes, James Humes, Mary Fleer, Laverne Humes and Alfred Humes.

A graveside service was held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, IA.

Visitation was held prior to the service from 10:30 a.m.-12 noon Wednesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with family meeting with friends at that time.
