Rose Lee Johnson, 76 of Fellowsville, WV (Stevensburg Community) passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at her residence. She was born on April 30, 1948 at Stevensburg, daughter of the late George Monroe and Pearl Eppy (Bolyard) Ridenour. Rose graduated from Fellowsville High School, Class of 1966. She had worked at Kinney Shoes Factory, Susie Harvey’s Store and did in home care for many families she knew. Rose loved shopping, reading, eating ice cream, site seeing and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Arthur Johnson Sr, whom she married on July 19, 2003; three children, Jennifer Britton (Gary), Tunnelton, Brad Larew, Fairchance, Tommy Larew (Sebastian), Fairchance; three step-children, Joseph Arthur Johnson Jr. (Kim) Bruceton, Edward Bryan Johnson, (Stephanie), White Hall, Jennifer Campbell (Robert), Independence; two granddaughters, Gracie and Carly; three step grandchildren, Robert Jr., James and Edward; four sisters, Rose Mary Larew (Dale “Pete”), Mary Teets (Bob), Her special angels Betty Shaffer (Darwin), and Eppy Bennett; two brothers, Emerson Ridenour, Willie Ridenour (Donna); and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her first husband, Tom Larew; two sisters, Helen Jean Larew and Dorothy Ann Willis. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 3:00-7:00 PM and at Mount Israel United Methodist Church on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Marjorie Waybright officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Israel Cemetery. Following the Graveside, a covered dish dinner will be held at the Mount Israel Community Building.
