Charles Eugene Manning Obituary

Charles E. Manning, 90, of 1381 Ninety Nine Island Rd., Blacksburg, SC passed away peacefully Sunday, July 28, 2024, surrounded by family. He was married to the late Mary Louise Martin Manning and son of the late Charles Henry Manning and Viola Smith Manning.

 Left to cherish his memory is a son Bobby Manning (Tina) of Blacksburg, SC, a daughter in law, Betty McCraw Manning of Gaffney, SC, grandchildren Rene' Driskill, Scott Manning (Jen), and Rachel Farris (Ricky), great grandchildren Blaine Genobles, Matthew Farris, Camden Farris and Conner Ferris, a sister Hazel Painter and a brother, Louis Manning. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by sons Charles Randall Manning, Alan Lee Manning, Michael Eugene Manning, sisters Lucille Wright, Annie Mae Huskey and brothers Pete Manning and Harold Manning.

He was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church, loved farming, his tractor, was a great carpenter, and loved fishing and gardening.

Visitation will be held, Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 11 am at Nazareth Baptist Church with Dr. Jaime Billings officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers serving are Scott Manning, Mark Wilson, Russell Lanier, Ricky Farris, Jim Bob Wright and JJ Wright.
