Elaine Cook Munzu, 90, of East Haven passed away peacefully on Friday, July 26th, 2024, at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul J. Munzu, Sr. Elaine was born in New Haven on June 8, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Paige Cook. Elaine enjoyed quilting, knitting, doing jigsaw puzzles and coloring books. Mother of Dawn Lynch, Paul J. Munzu, Jr., Gloria Reis and the late Holly and Dawn Munzu, Carole Ammann and Susan Recca. Mother-in-law of Kevin Recca and John Reis. Grandmother of Shannon and Brittney Reis, Danielle and Laura Smith, Tasha Brown, April Cruthird, Justin and Ryan Recca. Sister of Paul Cook (Valerie), MaryLou Cappetta (Vinnie) and the late Sharon Chapin. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
