Michael S. Stiles, 70, of Brookville died Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Penn Highlands Brookville ER.
Born in Little Ferry, NJ on February 12, 1954, he was the son of the late Russell and Mary Anne Babcock Stiles.
He was a graduate of Bergen County Vo-Tech in NJ and continued his education by obtaining his CNA Certificate from Jeff Tech in PA.
On September 24, 1988 he married the former Nancy King of Little Falls, NJ. She survives.
Prior to his retirement on February 9, 2023 he was employed as a Corrections Officer at SCI Forest State Prison in Marienville, PA, as well as a bus driver in the past for DeCamp Bus Lines, Montclair, NJ and Fullington Trailways, Dubois, PA.
His memberships included Calvary Church of the Nazarene, Brookville, PA, Elks Club, Battleship NJ Club and the American Red Cross where he was an instructor in CPR/AED .
He enjoyed rescuing animals, NASCAR, dirt track racing, all sports, reading, driving bus and being a lay reader at the Episcopal Church in Brookville.
Those surviving in addition to his wife, Nancy, are numerous cousins including Marlene Andres; and will be sorely missed by his 7 beloved pit bulls.
Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Stiles
His parents preceded him in death.
As per his wishes there will be no services held.
Interment will be held privately in Hartsville Center Cemetery, Hartsville, NY.
