Tonia Lynn (Tucker) McDonald, 48 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on July 26, 2024 at the Beckett House Care Center in New Concord.

Tonia was born in Zanesville on September 22, 1975. She is the daughter to the late James Tucker and Linda (Wilson) Gibbs. Tonia loved taking care of people and that shined through in her job where she worked as a nurse’s aide for various care centers in the Zanesville area. She was a loving mother, grandmother and adored her pets Roxy, Dusty, Emmie, Miracle, Brit, and Dottie, and her granddog Rascal.

Tonia is survived by her longtime companion Peter Daniel; her children, Corey (Leona Bobb) Elson, Kristen (Jesse Brennan) Elson, TJ McDonald, Braylon McDonald; her two granddaughters, Raeelle Brennan and Braily Brennan and the fathers of her children, Terry McDonald and George Elson. She is also survived by her siblings, David Cummings, Debbie (Paul) Mumma, Wm. Carl Tucker, Oma (Bob) Lee and Michael (Ryan) Tucker.

In addition to her parents, Tonia is preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Tucker.

In keeping with her wishes a caring cremation will take place and a celebration of her life will take place at the Eagles Lodge on Greenwood, 1275 East Market Street, Zanesville, Ohio 43701 on Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm. The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is caring for the McDonald-Elson family.
