Shirley Ann Gilpin Obituary

Shirley Ann Gilpin, 85, of Columbia, KY passed away Friday, July 26, 2024, at T. J. Health Columbia. She was born in Louisville, KY on October 7, 1938, to the late Charlie and Louella Coomer Corbin.

Mrs. Gilpin was a member of the Trinity Church and enjoyed gospel music, singing, playing the piano and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters Kim Turner (Mark), Teresa Giles (David), and Crystal Stapleton all of Columbia, KY; seven grandchildren Erica Turner (Byron Rodgers), Lucas Turner (Shawntae), Zackary Giles (Stacy), Shane Stapleton, Anika Jennings, Truk Jennings, and Amanda Giles; eleven great grandchildren Addison, Kennedy, and Madelynn Giles, Bramlett and Livie Turner, Kylie Morris, Olivia Kays, Byron, Ryder, C. J. (Katherine) and Jenna Rodgers; a sister Elizabeth VanArsdale and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children Pete Gilpin and six siblings Odell, Eurial, and Harlan Corbin, Lydia Matney, Beatrice Coffey, and Runa Willis.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Jones Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00-8:00pm and will continue Tuesday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Bro. Steve Pescosolido and Bro. Bobby Withers will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Lucas Turner, Zack Giles, Shane Stapleton, Truk Jennings, Byron Rodgers, and Ryder Rodgers.
