Marvin Wayne Nicholson, 70, of Morgantown, passed away Friday July 26, 2024 after a long illness.

Marvin was born on August 11, 1953 in Morgantown, a son of the late Lonnie Nicholson, and the late Etta Nicholson Shears.

Survivors include one son, Jonathon David Nicholson and his wife Tiffany with whom he currently made his home; six grandchildren; three sisters, Bonnie Blosser and her husband Gary, Connie Gilmore and her husband Ronnie, and Cindy Hanlin and her husband Kenny all of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Alexander Doan'e Barnett; and a brother, John Nicholson.

Marvin was a talented masonry worker. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his animals as well as his family.

At his request, there will be no funeral home visitation, and details of a service to celebrate his life will be announced at a later date.
