Danny C. Coles, age 70, of Mosherville, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 at Hillsdale Hospital. He was born October 5, 1953, in Jackson to Donald and Velta (Radabaugh) Coles. He married Chrissy Tressler, and she survives.
Danny graduated from Reading High School, Class of 1973. He was retired from Key Opportunity in Hillsdale where he drove bus, affectionately known by his co-workers as “Big Daddy.” Danny loved watching professional wrestling and old westerns. He was known for his sense of humor and his ability to never take anything too seriously. Danny always looked forward to his Sunday dinners at his daughter, Samantha’s home, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving besides his wife, Chrissy are three children, Samantha (James) Blankenship and Todd (Jill Norton) Coles, both of Hudson and Amy (Froland) Fernandez of Springport; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Beth Headington of Angola, IN, Jill Baker of Bryan, OH, and Melodie Coles of Hillsdale; and many nieces and nephews also survive,
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jann Judt; and brother-in-laws, Terry Baker and Tom Headington.
A memorial service for Danny Coles will be held Monday, July 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading with Pastor Tina Zimmerman officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
