Cecil Bernard "Joe" Hendrix

Funeral services for Cecil Bernard “Joe” Hendrix , 81, of Kershaw, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Sunday, August 26, 2018, from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Bryant D. Fersner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Mr. Hendrix died Tuesday, August 21, from injuries received in an automobile accident. Born in Kershaw, he was a son of the late Walter and Ruth Morgan Hendrix. He retired from the US Postal Service and was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are his loving wife, Marjorie Helms Hendrix; sister-in-law and brother- in- law, Cecil and Myra Gleaton; sister-in-law, Pat Hendrix; nephew, Stephen (Robin) Hendrix and numerous cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Derek Neil Hendrix and a brother, Douglas Hendrix. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 26, prior to the service beginning at 2:00 o’clock p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
