Elizabeth Sullivan Westfaul, 79, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 26, 2024 at home in Tuscaloosa after a long series of illnesses. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ruth Kelley Sullivan of Tuscaloosa, and her sister, Martha Sullivan Kershaw of Tucson, AZ.  She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Darrell Westfaul of Tuscaloosa, and brother-in-law Bill Kershaw, niece Jackie Conner and nephew Robert Kershaw, all of Tucson, AZ, as well as her lifelong friend, Ann Rich of Moundville.

Liz, as she was known by friends, was born and lived all her life in Tuscaloosa. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a BEd degree and from Livingston University with a Masters in Business Education. She taught at a Tuscaloosa business school for many years until it closed and then retired. She and her husband enjoyed many cruises and trips around the country together. Her greatest passion was for cats, of which she had many over her life, with a particular fondness for Siamese. A stylish dresser, she loved shopping and updating her wardrobe.

A visitation will be held at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel on Thursday, August 01, 2024, from 6-8 PM with a brief service at 7 PM. Private inurnment will be at a later date from Pinecrest Cemetery in Mobile.
