Arthur R. Zeitler entered into eternal rest on July 25, 2024 at the Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at Beacon.
Arthur was born in New York City Hospital in Manhattan on November 11, 1938. He was the son of Arthur M. Zeitler and Elizabeth Bender from Almaskamaras, Hungary. He lived in Beacon all of his life and was a graduate of Beacon High School. He was employed by County Airport Corporation in Westchester County through 1968, Sabena Belgium World Airlines at JFK International Airport until 1982 and subsequently self-employed as a painting contractor.
In 1984, he married Rosalie Barber, who survives him. He is also survived by his children, Keith Zeitler (Maureen) of Mt. Dora, FL, Scott Zeitler (Darlene) of Wendell, NC and Lynette Mazzuca (Nick) of Elon, NC; his step-children, Gregg Barber (Cheryl) of Wappingers Falls and Blake Barber of Elmira; his grandchildren, Natalie Tibbs (Holden), Carly Zeitler, Meghan Wood (Mark), Renata Zeitler, Samantha Duryea (Scott), Courtney, Jamie and Halee Mazzuca, Robert T., Sarah, Anna, Madison, Zach and Cassandra Barber, Guyanne Simmons and numerous great-grandchildren; his brother, Fred Zeitler (Joyce) and their children, Peter, Christopher, Michael and Joseph Zeitler.
Calling hours to pay respects will be held on Tuesday, July 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 31 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 Willow Street, Beacon with burial to follow at St. Joachim Cemetery, Beacon.
