Jerry Looney, 75, of Waverly, Ohio passed 12:26 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2024, at Adena Regional Medical Center Chillicothe, Ohio.

Jerry was born September 14, 1948 in Grundy, Virginia, the son of the late Elzie Looney and Birchie Mae (Rife) Looney. He was united in marriage to Gail (Stacy) Looney, who survives.

Also surviving are three children, Destry (Sarah) Looney, Indira (Ken) Crook, and Travis (Teea) Looney; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four siblings, Gary Looney, Janice Blizzard, Bernice Burks, and Jackie (William) Scott; and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, two children, Betty Jo Musick and Jimmy Carl Musick; and three siblings, Leslie Lee Looney, Charlene Justice, and Larry Looney.

Jerry was a retired coal miner.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2024, at Howe Wheeler Boyer Funeral Home, Piketon with Pastor Dennis Garmon officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Denver Road, Waverly.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the Howe Wheeler Boyer Funeral Home, Piketon. Ohio.
