Carlie Tallon Stone 76, resident of Greenwood, wife of Thomas Edward “Eddy” Stone, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 at her home.

Born July 16, 1948, in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy Hegman Tallon. Mrs. Stone was a graduate of Greenville High School and retired from the South Carolina Highway Patrol as a telecommunication operator.

She was of the Lutheran faith and loved spending time with her family and friends as well as acting, singing, crafting and sewing.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are two daughters, Dawn Ward (Scott) of Greenwood and Stacy Crocker (Barry) of Ninety Six; grandchildren, Erika Crocker, Sage Allison, Brett Crocker (Chayse) and Taylor Ward; great-grandchildren, Jase White and Clyde Allison; and two special pets, Piper and Pricilla.

Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Galloway; and twin brothers, Frank and Fred Tallon.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Tuesday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Christoper officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
