Barbie was born on Bragg's Island on February 14, 1929 to Cater and Gertie Paul. She married Esau Oram on November 12, 1945 and went on to have 7 children. They relocated to Hare Bay in 1954. She loved to cook and bake for her family. Her partridgeberry tarts and turkey dinners were fantastic. She loved her church and enjoyed playing hymns on the church organ and singing. She also spent many hours playing Skip-Bo with Esau and friends. She was everyone's "Aunt Barbie" and will always live on in our memories and hearts.

Special thanks are extended to the staff at Bonnew's Lodge, Badger's Quay.
