  Gail A. Petrich, 86, of East Jordan, died Friday, July 26, 2024, at Grandvue Medical Care Facility, East Jordan.

  She was born on July 16, 1938, in Detroit, the daughter of Edwin and Louise (Connan) Simmons.  She grew up in Detroit and graduated from Saint Rita High School in Detroit.

  On April 11, 1959, in Detroit, she married Bart Petrich.

  She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Jordan.

  Gail is survived by her husband, Bart Petrich of East Jordan; three children, Corrine Raines of Sterling Heights, Rebecca (Mark) Walny of Clinton Township and David (Lisa) Petrich of Olympia, Washington; five grandchildren, Christen (Daniel) Graham of Olympia, Washington, Zachary (Katie) Raines of Sterling Heights, Justin (Elizabeth) Petrich of Olympia, Washington, Jacob (Ally) Walny of Lansing and Austin Petrich of Olympia, Washington; and four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Patricia Purdy.

  No services are scheduled at this time.  Interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, East Jordan.  Memorials may be directed to Grandvue Medical Care Facility, 1728 S. Peninsula Road, East Jordan, MI 49727 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
