Theodore “Ted” Allen Matlack, 82, of Bell Township, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2024, at his home with his loving family surrounding him.  Ted was born on Friday, January 16, 1942 in Avonmore, the son of the late Elmer Lawrence and Winifred Walters Matlack.  He was a 1960 graduate of Bell Avon High School.  He was a United States Army veteran.  Ted was employed by, Schwerman Trucking in Penn Hills, Doverspike Kitchens in Avonmore and Wilson Scrap Metal in Saltsburg.  He enjoyed yard work, hunting, fishing, drinking beer, westerns on T.V., woodworking and crafting.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy Blanche Lebeda Matlack, 3 children, Brenda Horrell of Washington Township, Barb Hill and her husband, Chuck, of Tinsmill and Ted Matlack and his wife, Kari, of Bell Township. Four grandchildren, Kevin Horrell (Danielle) of Oklahoma Borough, Kyle Horrell of North Apollo, Jade Hill of Tinsmill, and Dominic Hill of Parks Township.  2 great grandchildren, Aria and Rosalyn and three sisters, Jean Shearer and her husband, Larry, of Bell Township, Janet Hollis and her husband, Jim, of Apollo and Joyce Shearer and her husband, Randy, of Parks Township.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Ruth Ann Pivadori, Nancy Kunkle, Helen Clinger, Judy Shearer and Lois Durand and three brothers, Joseph, Lawrence and Jim Matlack.  Friends will be received on Tuesday July 30, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, in Corridoni Funeral Services, Inc, 400 Indiana Avenue, Avonmore, PA, time of service at 7:00 pm with Pastor Lee Rupert officiating.  Interment is private.
