LOWVILLE, NY ~ Karen P. “Kip” Jenack, 84, of 7675 Sharp St., Lowville, died peacefully at home on Thursday, July 25, 2024, where she was under the care of her loving family and Lewis County Hospice.
Born January 31, 1940, in Carthage, NY, the daughter of Glen and Ila Davison Priest, she was a 1958 graduate of Harrisville High School, and later graduated from Canton ATC in Canton, NY.
She married Paul E. Jenack on July 15, 1960 in Gouverneur, NY. Paul died on December 31, 2015.
Following her graduation from college, she worked as a switchboard operator for the Watertown Phone Company, and after she and her husband moved to Lowville in 1965, she worked as a homemaker and childcare provider in her home.
Kip loved reading her Bible and especially enjoyed tending to flower and vegetable gardens.
She was a member of the Community Assembly of God Church in Lowville.
Surviving are three sons and their wives, James (Paula) Jenack, of Lowville, Michael (Ann) Jenack, of Annapolis, MD and Scott (Mohican Laine) Jenack, of Salt lake City, UT; two grandchildren, fraternal twins Owen and Madison Jenack; her brother, William Priest, of NC; her sister-in-law, Dixie Dickinson, of Harrisville; two brothers-in-law, Rick Bush, of Lowville, and William (Suzanne) Jenack, of Canandaigua, NY.
In addition to her loving husband, Paul, of 55 years, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert Priest, two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Priest, and Ellen Bush, who died on June 29, 2024, his second wife, Dolly Priest; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Polly and Edward Finn, and brother-in-law, Fred Jenack.
It was Kip’s wishes that there be no funeral service or calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lewis County Hospice, or, to someone you know who has a need that you can help with, all in memory of Kip.
