Jacqueline Jean Jones, known affectionately as Jackie to her family and friends, passed away on July 21, 2024, at the age of 61. Jackie was born on October 13, 1962, in Malden, Massachusetts, where she grew up and later worked, dedicating 39 years of service to the community as an assistant treasurer and collector for the city. She left this world in Boston, Massachusetts, after a courageous battle with Plasma Cell Leukemia.
Jackie was the beloved daughter of the late Alice and Edward Jones Sr. and a cherished sister to Edward Jones Jr. and Linda Biancucci. She shared countless memories and an unbreakable bond with her lifelong best friend, Barbara Ventola. Her presence will also be profoundly missed by her adoring nieces and nephews: Amanda Jones, Christopher Jones and his fiancée Alison Roberts, Michael Jones, Jaimie and her husband Bobby Marchionni, and Kristine Biancucci. Jackie held a special place in the hearts of her great-niece and great-nephews, Anamarie and Anthony Marchionni, Kayla Souther, and Michael Ventola, who will carry her spirit forward.
Jackie's life was marked by her selfless nature, her infectious sense of humor, and her boundless love for those around her. She graduated from Malden High School in 1980 and immediately began her career in public service. Jackie's dedication to her work was paralleled only by her commitment to her family and friends, with whom she shared her many passions and hobbies.
A lover of animals, Jackie had a particular fondness for dogs, which brought her immense joy throughout her life. Her culinary skills were renowned among her loved ones, and she took great pleasure in cooking for them. Jackie's mornings often started with a visit to Dunkin Donuts, a simple routine that brought her comfort and a sense of community.
Jackie's zest for life extended to the open road, where she found freedom and excitement as a Harley Davidson enthusiast. She also had a deep appreciation for antique cars, sharing this interest with fellow aficionados at various events and gatherings.
