Martin "Marty" Smith, age 65, of Lombard, IL, passed away on July 20, 2024. He is survived by his beloved family, Shannon Smith (Michael Dvoracek), Bonnie Gerdes (Tom Gerdes), George Black (David Stowell) and Erin Smith (Phil Szaflarski). He was proceeded in death by his parents, Martin and Mary Smith.

Marty had a penchant for telling a good story and a love of baseball and good beer. But what he cherished most was his friends and family. He always enjoyed family holiday get-togethers and parties with friends. His one-of-a-kind personality will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

His Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 9th, 2024 at the Lake Ellyn Boathouse, 645 Lenox Road in Glen Ellyn from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
