Patricia (Patti) M. Bauer passed away peacefully at her home in Wappingers Falls on July 24, 2024 with her “family” of friends at her bedside, after a period of declining health.

Born in Liberty, New York on April 13, 1941 Patti was the only child of the late Shirley and Carl Bauer. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her half sister, Ruth Sheehan of Connecticut. Patti is survived by her loving caretakers and family: Kimmie Catalano and Mary Medico, their children, Dominick and his wife Ashley, Christopher and his wife Ashley, Bradley and his wife Nicole and 8 grandchildren who fondly called Patti, “Uma”.

After graduating from Middletown High School, she worked as a proof reader for the Times Herald Record. She then began a 43-year career at the Middletown Shoprite in the deli department where she ultimately became manager.

Patti was a true animal lover and a devoted “Mom” to her many dogs throughout the years. She loved to play golf and was a longtime member of the Stony Ford Golf Club Ladies League as well as a sub at the Ladies Leagues at Wallkill and Winding Hills Golf Courses. Patti had a quick sense of humor that kept everyone smiling, if not laughing out loud. She was a friend to many and could always be counted on if you needed help with anything.

Patti will be missed, remembered and held close in our hearts.

In keeping with her wishes there will be a Celebration of Life on July 29, 2024 from 4 to 6 PM with a service at 6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, New York 12533. Burial will be private at a later date.
